Geothermal Drilling
Machines
Geothermal energy is an innovative technique for providing heat to buildings. These systems are enabled to collect heat generated from the ground. Two alternatives are available for the extraction of heat from the ground.
- Open System or Geothermal Energy Storage Technology: it enables a heat pump to extract heat from the pumped-up ground water. Cooled ground water is then pumped down to a second drill hole. In the summer, this ‘Cold Storage’ can be used to provide cooling for a building. Heated water is then again pumped down to the first drill hole ‘Heat Storage’.
- Closed System or Borehole Energy Storage Technology: it requires heat exchangers to be installed in a drill hole. Heat will be exchanged between the earth’s crust layers and a heat pump through a glycol solution circulating in the heat exchangers.
In close cooperation with our clients, AGIVA Int develops site proposals combining equipment-method-site planning recommendations. We always aim at maximizing the efficiency of the drilling team.
